The
Retrobeats
A highly experienced 4 piece live band playing pop and rock 'n' roll hits from the 1950s onwards. Our repertoire is made up of feel-good hits from across the years and we try to be a little bit different by including less obvious but still well known songs. We also do a more specific tribute show to the rock n roll greats of the 1950s - Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Ricky Nelson, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran etc. We are based in the North West of England and perform across the region at any venue wanting great dance music from a live band. The band contains two main vocalists enabling us to handle a wide variety of songs with harmonies and backing vocals. We never use backing tracks and all the music is performed by ourselves at a comfortable volume - we are not a loud band. By using our PA system we can also provide music mixes for you - from background music to chat to, music during breaks and even a lively disco playing songs from all eras and for all ages to finish your night off! |

Counterfeit Sixties
were formed by four experienced musicians with their devotion to 60’s
music and the people that influenced it. As the band members lived through
the sixties themselves, they have a great in-depth knowledge of what memories
can be encapsulated in producing a 60’s show. These are reproduced using
live action footage of many familiar sights and sounds associated with
this period. The two hour show covers all the recollections of that era
and, with over twenty five bands being reproduced, the show is undoubtedly
the most comprehensive 60’s show around today. The Counterfeit Sixties

This fab beat combo perform the hits, misses, B-sides and lost classics from the golden age of Merseybeat with a passion and energy not seen since the heady days of the ‘60s beat boom. As Merseybeat and Hamburg legend Kingsize Taylor said after seeing the boys in action, “I haven’t heard a sound like that since the Star-Club in 1962!” Formed in 2005 by drummer Tony, these four lads from Liverpool authentically recreate the look and the sound of those Liverpool days and Hamburg nights, from the Cavern to the Star-Club where the original Mersey sound was born. The group’s ethos is based around the early 60s, as they believe that this is when beat music was at its most exciting. |

In the
1960s, during the golden era of pop, one band ruled supreme in East Anglia.
They were officially crowned top 60s band in one of the first ever 'Battle
of The Bands', being judged outright winners by Van Morrison. They appeared
with all of the chart topping bands of the time such as The Yardbirds,
Amen Corner, Merseybeats, Small Faces and Status Quo. Pirate Radio station
“Radio London” chose the band to front their Radio Roadshow, long before
Radio One or Two had been thought of. The pinnacle of their career came
when they were booked to appear alongside Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Pink
Floyd in what was probably the UK’s first real music festival. Now SOUNDS FORCE 5 are back, playing that unique brand of 60’s music that made them so popular the first time around. Lose yourself in this golden era, when you hear the group play unforgettable numbers made famous by such bands as The Rolling Stones, The Searchers, The Moody Blues and The Spencer Davies Group. |
