Cavern
Glenn and Jeff Mitchell are 'Cavern' - a keyboard guitar duo who use specialist guitars of the period in their sets, from John Lennon's signature Rickenbacker 325 to Paul McCartney's Violin Hofner Beatle bass. They take you on a Magical Musical History Tour of the early days of 'Merseybeat' using stage decor, props and reproduction 60s Beatles suits, with Cuban heeled Beatle boots, where you are transported back in time to the vibrant rock'n'roll sounds of the 50s and the beginnings of the Mersey Sound and Beatlemania to relive memories of those formative years which witnessed the birth of the Swinging Sixties.

Vintage Sixties Live
Vintage Sixties Live
Were you part of the North East Clubland Rhythm Group scene in the Sixties?

Do you remember The Downbeats, The Zephyrs, The Panthers, The Gringos or any of the thousands of other groups who populated the working men’s club scene in the area around this time?   ... then read on - this concerns you!
We are hoping to bring together some of the many semi-pro local musicians and singers who worked the North East Working Men's Club circuit during the Sixties. The Management of Tudhoe Victory Club, on the outskirts of Spennymoor, has kindly donated the use of their excellent Concert Room on the second Thursday in every month starting June 8th 2006.
The evenings are intended to be very informal - providing an opportunity for the working artistes of our era to perform as we did back then - or just to meet and swap stories, songs and pictures. Free amplification and PA equipment will be provided!

The Fore
'If you were listening to The Kinks, Small Faces or The Beatles, and a Fore demo dropped in to your play list you wouldn't notice the huge generation gap. The Fore have bought a time machine and travelled from the 60's to the 21st century to bring the true sounds of that past generation back to you. The Fore are not a tribute band by any means, yet they have captured the essence of the 60’s music scene and made it their own'.

The Mods

Martin the ModJust John
Just John
Captures the very essence of Lennon, with humour, mannerisms, Liverpudlian accent and unbelievable vocals, so close that it is impossible to distinguish them from the original works. Martin's audiences are regularly impressed by his vocal and guitar skills, and often comment that he sounds remarkably like the original record.
